Day by Day Itinerary
Day 1: NAIROBI
Upon arrival at the Airport, you are met with our representative and given a complimentary hat, and then proceed to your hotel
Dinner and overnight at Golden Tulip Hotel
Day 2: AMBOSELI
Wake up at your hotel to a buffet breakfast just after you freshen up, leave for Amboseli national park, it is at this point you can catch a glimpse of the gigantic snow capped Mt. Kilimanjaro on a clear evening, this will be an interesting point to captivating photo sessions.
Arrive and check at Amboseli Sopa Lodge
1930’s, inspired Ernest Hemingway’s unforgettable stories ‘The Snows of Kilimanjaro’ and ‘The Short, Happy Life of Francis Macomber’ which were turned into more than successful feature films in the late 1940’s due to their renowned actors. All forms of wildlife still abound in this wilderness which continues all the way to the Amboseli National Park, an easy twenty minute drive away from the lodge.
1600 hrs – Afternoon proceed on for afternoon game drive.
1830 hrs – Back to your lodge

Day 3: AMBOSELI
0800 hrs – After breakfast proceed on for a half day game drive in Amboseli National Park. Half day spent in the park viewing game in this second most popular park in Kenya. Here you have a good opportunity to see some of the ‘Big Five’ and a variety of other game with the snow-capped Mt. Kilimanjaro at the background. 1430 hrs – return back to the lodge in time for late lunch. After lunch take a time to relax and enjoy the wonderful atmosphere on the wild – you can also take at dive at the swimming pool.

Day 4: LAKE NAIVASHA
Breakfast at leisure.
0730 hrs – You will meet up with your guide and head off Lake Naivasha.

1230 hrs – Enjoy your buffet lunch at the lodge.
Lake Naivasha. Within easy reach of Nairobi Lake Naivasha is the perfect spot to either ease yourself into your safari in Kenya or use it as the last stop to catch your breath before you head home. Being a fresh water lake it does attract a wide range of birdlife including lily-trotters, pelicans, Goliath herons and of course the African Fish Eagle. Wildlife which can be found around the lake includes giraffes, impala, buffalo and hippo’s.

Day 5: MASAI MARA GAME RESERVE
0630hrs- served with breakfast by the lodge before setting off on a road trip to Maasai Mara, you shall have some stopovers to stretch your legs and also visit the washrooms.
Arrive later in the afternoon in the Mara and check in at Mara Sopa Lodge
1600hrs – After enjoying your afternoon Kenyan tea and coffee – Head out this afternoon, for an exciting game viewing adventure. Search some of the area`s wildlife hot-spots determined by your driver guide, as they`ve learned and now understand the games daily routines through tracking. Some wildlife is more difficult than others to spot, for instance the Leopard. These spotted cats blends almost seamlessly into the tall grass and shrubbery, and are even more challenging to spot up in their favorite hangout, the trees. Your guide will take you to nearby watering holes, where on a hot day, you might spot many bird and wildlife species, including the elusive cats.
1830hrs – After game drive head back to your lodge.

Day 6 & 7: MASAI MARA GAME RESERVE
0600hrs – You will be woken up this morning to a lovely African sunrise and at the lobby coffee, tea and cookies will be ready for you.
0630hrs – Drive off to another adventurous safari drive in search of wild animals. The early mornings and evenings are the best times to watch the big cats hunt – the lion, the cheetah and the leopard. At these times the most glorious sunrise can be observed.
0830hrs – Return to the camp for a full buffet breakfast.
Morning at leisure- Optional Maasai Village- $35Per person
A visit to a Maasai Boma (Maasai village tour) is an interesting experience. As you arrive at the village, excited children and adults welcome you with song and dance, at certain times, one of the dancers will jump up and down gracefully.
This is a wonderful opportunity to learn about the history and lifestyle of these Maasai. You may ask as many questions as you like and take photographs.
Optional Balloon Safari. – USD 490 each .
You will be collected from your camp at around 5AM to drive you to the launch site. You will arrive at the launch site by 6AM, and can enjoy a cup of coffee or tea while you watch the balloons being prepared for take-off. You will then meet your pilot, who will give you a safety briefing as well as explain what you can expect during your flight.
A balloon is the perfect safari vehicle able to glide silently across the plains without disturbing the herds below, and at the flick of a hot air burner the basket can be whisked from a high altitude viewpoint to skim low across the grasslands.
Upon landing, you can observe the complete deflation of the balloon envelope. You will be driven to nearby site for a champagne bush breakfast.
The breakfast is set up on the picturesque savannah plains of the Mara. You will sit down to a full bush breakfast in the Kenyan style, complete with eggs-to-order, fresh juices, waiters in traditional African attire, and, of course, champagne.
After breakfast you will be transferred back to your camp with game viewing Enroute.
1300hrs – Lunch will be served in the restaurant after which you will have time to rest before the evening safari.
1600hrs – We will take you for another exciting evening safari in search of the “big five” the lion, leopard, rhino, elephant and the buffalo.
1830hrs – After the game drive you will be driven back to the camp.

Day 8: LAKE NAKURU
0730 hrs – After breakfast – Head off to Lake Nakuru National Park – with lunch boxes.
Stop at the Great Rift Valley to admire the scenery as you make your way through rural Kenya onto the Rift Valley, an area boasting quaint little villages which dot the traditional African landscape. Prepare yourself for you first glimpse of Mount Longonot.
1600 hrs – proceed on for afternoon game drive – Lake Nakuru is famous for the big populations of Flamingos that number hundreds / thousands during dry season. The Park also contains Kenya’s largest population of rhinos. The surface of the lake occupies about a third of the park. The lake supports a dense bloom of the blue-green Cyanophyte Spirulina platensis from which it derives its colour.
Evening – Arrival in time for warm welcome you will be offered free welcome drink as you check in, then assisted to your respective rooms later head to the restaurant for hot dinner.

Day 9: NAIROBI – DEPART
0630hrs– breakfast at the lodge.
0800hrs– check out and drive back to Nairobi at leisure.

After lunch transfer to Jomo Kenyatta Airport Nairobi and connect…

General Terms and Conditions
Holiday Surcharge
A supplement of US $ 50.00 per person per day will apply to all bookings on the 24th, 25th, 26th and 31st December and 1st January except Zanzibar accommodation
A supplement of US $ 45.00 per person per day will apply to all bookings between Easter Friday and Easter Monday (for all 4 days) as Easter holiday surcharge
Validity of Prices
Prices are valid for the periods shown but are subject to change without notice in the event of Government action, i.e. increase in hotel tax or VAT, or to increase if prices are significantly affected by other circumstances beyond our control. Prices are based on exchange rates prevailing at the time of publication and may alter should any major variation in exchange rates occur.
Payment
We do accept payment via bank transfer and credit cards. Please note that sender collects all charges. Kindly always send remittance of payments /payments proof including booking reference # after completion of transaction for our records. When paying through credit card surcharge of 5% will apply.
Prices Include
Prices quoted for safaris generally include transport as per the itinerary, airport transfers, game drives, flying doctor membership where appropriate and charged separate at price of $30.00 per person , full board accommodation, picnic/extra lunches where stated, scheduled charter flights where mentioned, Mineral water and park entrance fees.
Prices Exclude: Itinerary prices generally exclude international flights, visa costs, optional excursions, personal insurance (medical or other), drinks, tips, phone calls, laundry and any items of a personal nature.
Children Policy
Children under 3 years of age are free of charge.
Children between the age of 3 and 12years
- Pays 60% of the adult rate if sharing a room with two adults
- Pays 80% of the adult rate if sharing a room with another child
- Pays 100% of the adult rates if sharing a room with one adult
- No discount on Holiday and other supplements
Reservations, Payment and Deposits
When Destination Specialists accepts your booking, the date of the confirmation invoice activates the terms and conditions of the contract. Confirmation of services is subject to payment of a 50% of the total invoiced amount to secure space. The balance is to be paid not later than 60 days prior to commencement of the services. When bookings are made within 30 days prior to the departure date, full payment is required immediately on written confirmation.
Cancellation Policy
Should you wish to cancel your confirmed booking, you must advise the company in writing.
Reservations that are cancelled, reduced in length of stay or reduced in numbers (hereinafter collectively called a CANCELLATION) are subject to Cancellation and No Show fees if cancelled within 44 days of the arrival date:
150 days to 90 days prior to arrival: 25%
89 days to 45 days prior to arrival: 50%
44 days to 01 days prior to arrival: 100%
