Manyara’s Secret Lodge

Overview

Manyara’s Secret was built and is managed with a focus on nature and the community.

• Our water comes from a source at the rim.
• Due to the construction of our pipeline, the surrounding Maasai villages now have running water.
• We use the rainy season to fill our 200m3 water basin, so that we do not have to rely on water from the source in times when it is scarce and our community badly needs it.
• Electricity comes from our solar park.
• The water is heated by solar boilers.
• Manyara’s Secret was built by local builders using local materials. All furnishings are made by local carpenters. This partnership not only thrives Manyara’s Secret, but also our community.

• Private Villa (Sleeps 2)

  The only sounds are the cries of the animals…
  Sitting together on your terrace, unwinding to the strange and magical sounds of Africa the laugh of the hyena, the cry of an exotic night bird. Maybe you’re listening to all this from the luxury of your own private plunge pool.
  Your two-person villa has been designed for you to enjoy Manyara’s Secret in complete privacy.
  There’s a wonderfully luxurious bed, an indoor shower in your bathroom, but you can always choose to shower under the stars while you catch some breathtaking views of the savannah.

• Savannah Villa (Sleeps 4)

  As you return from a day of exciting adventure, your first thoughts are to share all that has happened with your family and friends. Everyone together on the terrace, recalling the whole amazing day. You experience so much during the day, being able to relax on your own terrace with your own plunge pool, tips luxury over into decadence. And just to add pleasure to comfort, there is a wonderful restaurant with a large infinity swimming pool.
  The Savannah Villa sleeps 4. It has two bedrooms with beds of perfect luxury, both with doors opening onto the terrace and two private bathrooms. Your privacy is assured, while your access to the outdoors is unhindered.
  With your outdoor shower, you can enjoy breathtaking views of the savannah.

• Safari Villa (Sleeps 6)

  At the very tip of Manyara’s Secret is a villa with the most spectacular view.
  With three bedrooms and a beautiful living room. The patio with its plunge pool is spacious and perfect for eating or lounging together — it’s the usual place we find our visitors.
  Each bedroom has a private bathroom. The master bedroom has an outdoor shower with breathtaking views over the savannah.

• Baobab Villa (Sleeps 8)

  These are the times you want to be with all your family and friends.
  During the sun-drenched day you’ll do and see so much, you’ll go on safari, you’ll experience one of the hugely impressive national parks. Once back at the lodge all you’ll want to do talk and chill and remember and talk some more.
  On your lovely expansive terrace with your own swimming pool you can relax in style. Or if you wish you can join the rest of the lodge guests in our wonderful restaurant or beside our sparkling infinity pool.
  The Baobab Villa sleeps 8, has four bedrooms and a homely living room. Everyone’s privacy is assured while still having the opportunity to be together. All the bedrooms have deliciously luxurious beds (on of them even larger than King Size) and complete bathrooms. While showering under the stars you can listen as half the savannah settles down to await the dawn.
