Is a meticulously bird themed lodge set within 30 acres of land with clear emphasis on nature and birdlife in the area. The Retreat at Ngorongoro offers exceptional level of accommodation facilities that you will not find anywhere else in northern Tanzania. Each cottage is carefully planned and decorated such that there is ample space, from bedroom, bathroom with his and her wash basin and a rest room all ensuite!

Our infinity pool overlooks well-manicured gardens with a depth of 1.5 meters on the deep end and 1 meter on shallow end. We also have a separate kiddy pool. After long days of safari, this is a perfect place for you to unwind and experience the true beauty of The Retreat at Ngorongoro.
Gym
For those of you who would like to ensure that they keep fit, the mid-sized gym has the necessary equipment such as cross trainer, bikes and seated leg curl.
Conferencing
The Retreats at Ngorongoro boast of a fully functional conferencing facility in the area. It is perfectly “hidden” below the Nest lounge and Kipepeo restaurant complete with breakout areas, and WC facility.

Nest Lounge
Themed after the bird’s nest, this lounge is a perfect place to sit and relax, share your safari tales with fellow guests/safari mates. Our staff will be happy to offer you a variety of drinks from Safari lager to cocktails/mock tails that are available! This lounge has a pool table and a variety of board games!
