7 Days Samburu Mara Safari

Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi

You will be met by our customer care team on arrival in Nairobi, transfer to your Nairobi hotel. Here you will relax before your safari experience beginning the following day.
Overnight at Boma Hotel

Day 2: Nairobi – Samburu

Depart after breakfast, drive north through the coffee and pineapples plantations, stop briefly at the equator crossing point in Nanyuki where you can see the only mountain with snow near the equator on good weather. Head to Samburu arrive at the lodge in time for lunch. Head for your first game drive at 16:00hrs.
Dinner and overnight at Ashnil Samburu

Day 3: Samburu National Park

Spend your day in Buffalo springs game reserve with morning and afternoon game drives, in search of the unique and rare species only found north of equator, this include the long-necked gerenuk, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich and Grevy’s zebra popularly known as the Samburu special. You may also choose to visit Samburu village in between the game drives as an optional extra activity.
Meals and overnight at Ashnil Samburu

Day 4: Samburu – Lake Nakuru

Depart Samburu early in the morning and drive south, Lunch at Panari Hotel overlooking the spectacular Thomson falls. Thereafter proceed to Lake Nakuru for a game drive and a visit to the shores of the lake where you will see the abundant birdlife and flamingoes.

Day 5: Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara

Depart after breakfast for the world famous Masai Mara, the beautiful scenery of the riverine vegetation, rolling plains and open savannah is home to highest concentration of animal species. Arrive in time for lunch at your camp thereafter at 16:00hrs head out on an afternoon game drive.

Day 6: Masai Mara

Today you will have full day in Masai Mara with early morning and afternoon game drives, explore the vast plains and the riverine vegetation’s of the Mara in search for the CATS. There’s also the option of having a bird’s eye view of the Mara in a hot-air balloon safari or visiting the Maasai village in between the game drives.
Meals and overnight at Zebra Plains Camp

Day 7: Masai Mara – Nairobi

Early morning game drives at Masai Mara, back to the camp for breakfast thereafter depart for Nairobi arriving in the afternoon. Later transfer to the Airport to catch your flight.
