Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi

You will be met by our customer care team on arrival in Nairobi, transfer to your hotel to relax before your safari experience the following day.
Overnight at Boma Hotel Nairobi – BB

Day 2: Nairobi – Mount Kenya

Pick up from Nairobi at 06:00hrs, past the Equator to Sirimon gate – Check-in the Mount Kenya national park, after a few minutes of photo taking and viewing some wildlife such as bushbucks, waterbucks, baboons and bird life you drive on to the road head of the Sirimon Track, Old Moses camp -altitude 3,000m/ 10,000ft.
From the Old Moses camp on a clear day we have great views of the main peaks Batian, Nelion and Lenana, also beautiful view of the Laikipia plains and Aberdare ranges which is the second highest mountain in Kenya. Then the guide will set a leisurely pace for a relaxing trek up the mountain through different vegetation’s to the beginning of moorland covered by tussock grass and flowered cabbage Loberias. Along the way you will enjoy various birds and flowers on the high altitudes.
After 3 to 4 hrs of ascending you will be on top of Liki valley where we have the picnic rocks in time for lunch (3,700m). Enjoy your lunch with a good view.
After the lunch continue your stroll to the crest of the ridge, from which vantage point you have a splendid of the Mackinders Valley.
(Depending with weather and time the guide will advise the time to turn around).
Then descend down to Old Moses camp (2-3hrs) where the vehicle will be waiting and be transferred to your hotel for overnight.

Day 3: Nanyuki – Samburu

Depart after breakfast, drive north and head to Samburu, arrive at the lodge in time for lunch. The park has good scenery and the Uaso Nyiro river provides water for the animals. Afternoon game drive at Samburu National Park

Day 4: Samburu National Park

Today will be spend in Buffalo springs game reserve with morning and afternoon game drives, in search of the unique rare species only found only north of equator, they include the long-necked gerenuk, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich and Gravy’s zebra. You may also choice to visit Samburu village in between the game drives as an optional extra activity.

Day 5: Samburu – Meru National Park

Depart Samburu and drive East to Meru National Park, check-in to our rooms, lunch at the camp before the afternoon game drive. The park is ideal for guests looking for something off the-beaten-track and is well known for its bird life, riverine and forest as well as the dry arid species.
Dinner and overnight at Ikweta Camp

Day 6: Meru National Park

Spend your day at Meru National park with Morning and afternoon game drives. Meru is part of a complex of protected areas along the Tana river that includes the adjacent Bisanadi and Mwingi National Reserves, Kora National Park and Rahole National Reserve. It is home to some rare antelope, including the Lesser Kudu, duiker and dik-dik. There are several prominent inselbergs of basement rock. There are also a significant number of the black Rhinos found in the park.

Day 7: Meru National Park – Nairobi

Early morning game drives in Meru National Park, back to the camp for breakfast thereafter depart for Nairobi. You will get to Nairobi in the afternoon, later you will be transferred to the Jomo Kenyatta airport for your flight back home
